Meet Carla

Carla Youngblood is a leader with passion.

She was born and raised in the city of Birmingham where she was educated at North Birmingham Elementary and Phillips High School. She continued her education at Birmingham-Southern College where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications.

Carla is a Certified Public Accountant, comedienne, motivational speaker, author and breast cancer survivor. She has over thirty (30) years of accounting experience. Currently she serves as the Operations Director for Urban Impact, a nonprofit organization with fifteen (15) years of economic development experience.

She is President of Highland Meadows neighborhood HOA; a member of  the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants; a member of the Summit Speakers Toastmaster Club, and a volunteer for Forge Breast Cancer Center.

When she is not working, speaking onstage, or putting pen to pad, she enjoys playing cards (Bid Whist) and spending time with her grandson, Eli.
